Saturday, June 1:
The main meeting will take place on Saturday, 1 June at Lakepoint Resort State Park eight miles north of Eufaula.

MORNING:
Two talks by Dr. Brion McClanahan of Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phoenix City, Alabama, focusing on the political principles and the history of the Founders during the Revolutionary and Early Constitutional Periods of American history. Dr. McClanahan received his Ph. D. in history at the University of South Carolina under the eminent historian, Dr. Clyde Wilson. He is the author of a number of books in the Regnery Press “Politically Incorrect Series,” including two volumes on The Founding Fathers.  He has co-authored the book: Forgotten Conservatives in American History, with Dr. Wilson.

AFTERNOON:
Two talks by Dr. Donald Livingston, founder and President of the Abbeville Institute and Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Livingston’s talks will be “The Constitution and State Nullification,” and “The Constitution and Secession.” Dr. Livingston is now the leading authority in the U. S. on Nullification and Secession as basic American political principles from the Founding to the present. He has edited the book Rethinking the American Union for the Twenty-First Century.   Recently Dr. Livingston and Dr. Marshall DeRosa of Florida Atlantic University testified before the Freedom Caucus of the U. S. House of Representatives on the subject of Nullification.
A Round Table Discussion with active participation from the audience will follow the talks.

EVENING:
A full Dinner (Supper in Old Southern Speech) will be provided.  The dinner talk will concern the leadership of Eufaula and Barbour County in the political arena in the area of Southern Rights, focusing on the city’s and county’s historic roles in Nullification and Secession. The talk will be by William Cawthon of Eufaula, who has an M.A. in history from the University of Georgia where he was active in The Culture of the South Association. Mr. Cawthon is a student of local and Southern history and a some time activist for the conservation of the history, heritage, and culture of the South.
Alan Harrelson’s bluegrass on the banjo at Lakepoint Resort State Park will close out the day.
Arrangements will be made for a limited look at Eufaula Friday afternoon pre reception for those arriving early.
Full time Students are welcome at half price.
