The Real Robert E. Lee

October 14, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

$59

Join us for a discussion on Robert E. Lee.

In the last twenty years, Robert E. Lee has been transformed from a respected American hero to one of the most hated men in American history. For decades, Americans both North and South regarded him as the model Southern Christian gentleman, a brilliant general, a patriot who did what he thought was right, and a great educator. Now he is little more than a brutal slave owning traitor who fought to support an evil government.

What happened? And who is the real Robert E. Lee?

Our panel will discuss Lee the man and the various myths and legends about Robert E. Lee.
